A Brief History of
Justin Emrich
How did this happen? I've spent 40 years commuting to the City of London and working in the Insurance Industry. I was always looking for ways to create something new, so naturally ended up running an IT Function whilst also trying to play my part in modernising the 300+ year old Lloyd's of London market. But as time went on, that just wasn't scratching the creative itch enough.
Enter lock-down and the opportunity to do something new with my hands that I didn't know I'd have the patience for.
I hope you enjoy browsing some of the creations I've made for family and friends, gifts and commissions. Oh, and also cluttering up our own house!
I've also written a couple of articles which were published in Quercus magazine telling some of the stories.
Finally, I've recently retired from the City beckons, so a new chapter begins. So what's the plan? Do more woodwork of course, but also the odd bit of Insurance Tech Advisory to keep the old grey cells firing, in particular in the area of how AI is going to impact the Industry.
