Globe

Just the sort of project I love. Something new, something challenging where plenty of things could go wrong! The Globe is made from 4 blocks of Beech as I couldn't find a single block big enough, and the stand from Sapele, with the Globe held in place with short 3mm brass rods. First real crack at Pyrography. Started with pencil outlines of the continents eyeballing square by square, then went over with the burning tool. Finished off by marking in the Country borders and then shading which naturally brought out some of the wood grains. Pretty pleased with the end result.
